Innovators Connect – Tandem 2025, a joint Indo-German program, is now accepting applications. This program offers a unique platform for researchers, entrepreneurs, and early-stage start-up teams from India and Germany. Participants will collaborate on market-oriented innovation ideas.
The program aims to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between the two countries. It provides access to resources and expertise to develop innovative solutions. This initiative is designed to boost entrepreneurship and innovation.
The program includes design thinking workshops, information sessions, mentoring, and networking opportunities. Participants will also have the chance to visit labs and engage with industry experts. This comprehensive approach ensures a well-rounded experience.
The Innovators Connect – Tandem 2025 program will take place from November 10–20, 2025. The event will be held across two locations in India: Bengaluru and Hyderabad. These cities are hubs of innovation and technology.
The program is structured to provide intensive, hands-on training. Mentors from both India and Germany will guide participants. This international collaboration is a key feature of the program.
Activities include workshops, information sessions, and lab visits. Networking sessions will allow participants to connect with peers and industry leaders. The program is designed to be highly interactive and engaging.
The program is open to PhD students (ongoing or completed) and Postdocs (PhD not older than four years). Applicants should have a lab-to-market idea and be registered at a partner institution. Early-stage start-up founders (less than two years of incorporation) are also eligible.
Start-up founders should have a minimum bachelor’s degree, preferably a master’s degree. They should also be incubated onsite at one of the partner institutions. A strong focus on innovation and market potential is essential.
Interested candidates must submit their applications by July 13, 2025. Applications can be submitted through the provided application link. Ensure all required documents and information are included.
Participants will gain direct access to the innovation ecosystems of India and Germany. They will receive intensive, hands-on training with mentors from both countries. Collaboration in international and interdisciplinary teams is a key benefit.
The program offers the opportunity to develop an idea ready for incubation. Participants will also gain access to a network of mentors, funding agencies, and VCs. This network can provide valuable support for future ventures.
The German Centre for Research and Innovation (DWIH) New Delhi will cover most travel and stay expenses for eligible participants from India and Germany. This support makes the program accessible to a wider range of applicants.
