The Competitive Grant Program – Pfizer Internal Review Process supports independent medical education initiatives focused on enhancing understanding of the mechanism of action of Janus kinase 3 (JAK3) and the tyrosine kinase expressed in hepatocellular carcinoma (TEC) family kinases in alopecia areata. This grant opportunity invites qualified educational providers to develop and deliver a comprehensive program targeted at dermatologists and healthcare professionals across the United States. A key objective is to address the knowledge gap regarding the specific role of TEC family kinases in alopecia areata.
Individual project requests up to $100,000 USD will be considered. The estimated total available budget for this RFP is $200,000 USD. Award amounts include direct costs, institutional overhead costs (capped at 28% per Pfizer policy), and indirect costs. The maximum project length is one year.
Eligible applicants include medical, nursing, allied health, and pharmacy professional schools; healthcare institutions; professional organizations and medical societies; medical education companies; and other entities with a mission related to healthcare professional education or healthcare improvement. Only organizations are eligible to receive grants. The project lead must be an employee or contractor of the requesting organization. The requesting organization must be legally able to receive award funding directly from Pfizer Inc. For projects offering continuing education credit, the requesting organization must be accredited.

All materials must be scientifically accurate, up-to-date, and aligned with current research. Proposals should implement mechanisms to evaluate program effectiveness and participant learning outcomes. Both accredited and non-accredited programs are eligible. Please note that this RFP does not support clinical research projects or projects evaluating the efficacy of therapeutic or diagnostic agents.
