The Projects Peer Review Panel (PPRP) 2025 is a funding opportunity offered by the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC) for research grant funding.

The funding opportunity supports large or complex projects that have significant scientific priority in one of the following areas: particle physics, nuclear physics, astronomy, particle astrophysics, accelerator physics, and computing for PPAN Programe.
Large projects could involve participating in new or developing existing high-priority experiments or missions, developing new instruments or accelerator technologies, developing new or upgrading existing detectors, purchasing new or upgrading existing major high-performance computing facilities, the ongoing operation of existing facilities, and developing new initiatives in the field of e-science, including modeling and data management.
Only invited applicants who have successfully completed the Statement of Interest (SoI) stage are eligible to apply. Applicants must be based at a UK research organization eligible for UK Research and Innovation (UKRI) funding.

The full economic cost (FEC) of the project can be agreed with specific program areas, and STFC will fund 80% of the FEC. The duration of the award is as required to deliver the project. STFC will not fund project studentships.

UKRI is committed to ensuring that effective international collaboration in research and innovation takes place with integrity and within strong ethical frameworks.
