The FY 2026 Continuum of Care Competition and Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Grants NOFO (CPD-2600-DC-0025) from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development makes funding available to support community efforts to end homelessness and to develop coordinated approaches to preventing and ending youth homelessness. Applications are due by 8:00 PM Eastern Time on August 26, 2026.
The Continuum of Care (CoC) Program promotes a community-wide commitment to ending homelessness by providing funding for efforts to quickly rehouse individuals and families experiencing homelessness, persons fleeing or attempting to flee domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, or stalking, and youth experiencing homelessness. The program aims to minimize trauma and dislocation caused by homelessness, promote access to mainstream programs, and optimize self-sufficiency among affected populations.
The Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program (YHDP) supports the development and implementation of a coordinated community approach to preventing and ending youth homelessness. The population served by the demonstration program is youth ages 24 and younger who are experiencing homelessness, including unaccompanied and pregnant or parenting youth.

Length of Performance Period: Project and budget periods are available in the following durations: 12-month, 18-month, 24-month, 36-month, 42-month, 48-month, and 60-month.
HUD may add to the total amount with available funds carried over or recaptured from previous fiscal years. The funding instrument is a grant under CFDA/ALN 14.267.
Eligible applicants under 24 CFR 578.15 include:
Individuals, foreign entities, sole proprietorship organizations, and for-profit entities are not eligible to apply for grants or to be subrecipients of grant funds. Project applicants must meet all statutory and regulatory requirements in the McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act.
Applicants must have an active and up-to-date account with SAM.gov at the time of application and throughout the life of any award. A valid Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) is required to apply for funding. Registration in SAM.gov can take several weeks, so applicants should begin the process early.
Applicants must also have an active esnaps.hud.gov account to submit their application. Applications must be submitted through the esnaps.hud.gov system by the deadline.
