Description

The Grants to Support New Investigators in Conducting Research Related to Preventing Interpersonal Violence and Suicide Among Children and Youth (K01) provides funding through the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Center for Injury Prevention and Control, Division of Violence Prevention. This Mentored Research Scientist Development Award supports new investigators in developing research skills focused on preventing interpersonal violence and suicide among children and youth from birth to age 17.

Overview

The programme helps researchers build their skills in conducting research on interpersonal violence and suicide with the goal of becoming independent investigators in the field. Applicants must propose a research project that addresses at least one of the listed NCIPC research priorities related to interpersonal violence, suicide, or both among children and youth. These priorities include adverse childhood experiences, child abuse and neglect, youth violence, intimate partner violence (including teen dating violence), sexual violence, suicide, and cross-cutting prevention approaches. The opportunity number is RFA-CE-26-021 under assistance listing 93.136.
