OSERS-OSEP: Personnel Preparation of Special Education, Early Intervention, and Related Services Personnel, Assistance Listing Number (ALN) 84.325K supports the preparation and increase of qualified personnel to serve children with disabilities. Administered by the U.S. Department of Education, this discretionary grant program awards funds to institutions that prepare scholars at the bachelor’s, certification, master’s, educational specialist, or clinical doctoral degree levels. Grantees must use evidence-based strategies to train personnel for a variety of settings, including natural environments (home and community settings), early learning programs, child care, classrooms, and schools.
The Personnel Development to Improve Services and Results for Children with Disabilities program aims to help address State-identified shortages and needs for personnel preparation in special education, early intervention (including infants and toddlers), and services for youth with disabilities. Under the 84.325K competition, grantees focus on producing practitioners who meet the qualifications required to serve children with disabilities across multiple service settings.
