Advancing Adult Immunization Strategies: A Focus on the Impact of Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) and Cardiorespiratory Outcomes is a competitive grant program that supports independent medical education initiatives aimed at improving adult RSV immunization strategies, with a particular emphasis on the relationship between RSV infection and cardiorespiratory outcomes in high-risk adults.
RSV is increasingly recognized as a contributor to adverse cardiorespiratory outcomes in older adults and those with underlying cardiovascular disease (CVD), yet awareness and integration of RSV prevention into clinical practice remain limited. This request for proposals (RFP) seeks to fund educational projects that address unmet needs in recognizing RSV as a risk for cardiorespiratory events, understanding emerging data on RSV vaccination and cardiorespiratory outcomes, and applying current adult RSV guidelines.

This RFP supports independent medical education initiatives, not clinical research. Projects evaluating the efficacy of therapeutic or diagnostic agents will not be considered.

Examples of educational formats (not exhaustive):
Target audience: Cardiologists (general, heart failure, preventive, interventional, electrophysiology), cardiovascular advanced practice providers (NPs, PAs), primary care physicians with a cardiovascular focus, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals involved in adult vaccination and cardiovascular care.

Applications submitted after the due date will not be reviewed. The full project proposal should be single-spaced, Calibri 12-point font, 1-inch margins, and no more than 15 pages (excluding references). Required sections include goals and objectives, assessment of need, target audience, project design and methods, innovation, evaluation and outcomes, dissemination plan, anticipated timeline, additional information, organization detail, and budget narrative.
