The American Center Kampala Management and Programming opportunity supports a comprehensive program advancing U.S. priorities in Uganda through cultural and educational exchange by providing a strategic public platform where Ugandans can access information, participate in programs, and engage directly with American ideas and values.
The selected organization will manage all aspects of the American Center's daily operations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, facility management, security coordination, staff supervision, and visitor services. The implementer must maintain a welcoming, clean, and accessible environment.
Applicants must complete the Applicant Organizational Information (AOI) Survey in its entirety. The response “Not Applicable,” or “N/A,” is generally not acceptable; instead, a sufficient explanation must be provided to explain why an item is not applicable.
The application requires detailed information regarding the organization's structure, financial management, and operational capacity. Specific documentation is required for organizational governance, including confirmation of Board authorization to enter into the agreement.
Applicants must also prepare a Performance Monitoring Plan (PMP). This plan serves as a program management tool to measure progress toward established goals and objectives. The PMP must detail how and when data on indicators will be collected, outlining both program implementation and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) resources.
