The BJA FY25 Invited to Apply – Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI) Training and Technical Assistance (TTA) Program provides supplemental funding to support SAKI site-based grantees in solving existing cases, preventing future crimes, and providing justice for survivors and/or their families.
SAKI TTA offers expertise, training, and technical assistance to further law enforcement investigations of sexual assault and violent cold case crimes, with the goal of holding violent offenders accountable and reducing violent crime. Specifically, the program provides expertise and direct site-based assistance to jurisdictions as they establish widespread, evidence-based, sustainable practices in areas such as:
Only applicants that receive an official invitation letter from BJA are eligible to apply. Applications will only be accepted from the following entities: Research Triangle Institute, International.
The funding opportunity is structured as a Cooperative agreement. The minimum award amount is $5,000,000.
