The CAS President’s International Fellowship Initiative (PIFI) promotes communication between worldwide researchers and CAS by funding outstanding foreign scientists to conduct substantive scientific and technological collaboration with CAS.
The programme aims to foster international cooperation on shared challenges pertaining to green, sustainable, and inclusive development. CAS has established extensive collaborative relationships with counterparts from over 90 countries across the globe. The initiative supports scientific research, technology transfer, talent training, and academic exchange, serving to promote global scientific and technological development and enhance scientific and humanistic exchange between China and foreign countries.
The PIFI program features a dedicated funding system that offers flexible durations. Fellowships are available for training programs, academic visits, and full-time employment.
The program is open to scientific research personnel ranging from Nobel laureates to master’s degree candidates.
The initiative supports substantive scientific and technological collaboration. CAS has established 10 overseas science and education cooperation centers to carry out in-depth cooperation in science and education with countries and regions along the Belt and Road. These centers aim to strengthen international scientific and technological cooperation and cultivate internationalized talent.
