The FENS/IBRO-PERC support for NENS courses to be organised in 2025 provides funding for Network of European Neuroscience Schools (NENS) members scheduling in-person or hybrid short courses or training in 2025. This initiative is jointly supported by the FENS Committee for Higher Education and Training (CHET) and the IBRO Pan-Europe Regional Committee (IBRO-PERC).
NENS schools that intend to or have already scheduled a short course or training for 2025 may apply for support to reserve 4 or 5 student slots for international MSc or PhD students. The programme aims to add an international element to courses by supporting students currently studying in Europe but not in the country where the course is organised or where the NENS school has its seat. Course applications submitted by NENS schools that did not benefit from this support in recent years are highly encouraged.
To be eligible for support, courses must meet the following criteria:
FENS and IBRO-PERC will support up to 6 courses and 30 students for in-person courses. For each accepted international student, the organising school will receive 750 EUR to cover organisational and administrative costs. Each selected international student will be awarded a FENS and IBRO-PERC grant of 750 EUR to cover travel and accommodation expenses. Selected students will not pay a registration fee for the course.
