Opportunity Description
This funding opportunity aims to support the adoption of modern, mobile payment solutions within the agricultural sector. The goal is to streamline transactions, reduce cash handling risks, and improve efficiency for farmers and local vendors.
Grantees will be expected to implement pilot programs in rural communities, focusing on technology integration and farmer training.
Eligibility Requirements
- Must be a registered agricultural cooperative or a non-profit organization operating within a designated rural county.
- Must demonstrate a clear need for improved payment infrastructure.
- Must have established partnerships with at least two local vendors.
Scope of Work
- Conduct a needs assessment of current payment methods in the target area.
- Select and pilot at least one mobile payment platform (e.g., QR code payments, mobile POS).
- Develop and execute a comprehensive training program for at least 50 local farmers and vendors.
- Report on transaction volume, adoption rates, and cost savings achieved over the grant period.
