The FY 2026 Technical Assistance Information to Communities Grants (Assistance Listing 20.710) provides funding to local communities and groups of individuals for technical assistance related to pipeline safety. Administered by the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), the programme supports informed public participation in the safe operation of pipelines through engineering or other scientific analysis of pipeline safety issues.
Eligible applicants include:
Specifically eligible are cities, towns, villages, counties, Indian Tribes, parishes, townships, and similar governmental subdivisions, or consortiums of such subdivisions, and groups of individuals. States, universities, and for-profit entities are not eligible for TAG funding.
Applications must be submitted through Grants.gov. PHMSA will only accept one application from each applicant. Do not mail in applications; those received after the deadline may not be considered. Applicants are encouraged to review all related documents, including the Title VI Non Discrimination Assurances, the TAG Budget Narrative Template, the TAG Project Narrative Template, and the PHMSA Terms and Conditions 2026, all available on the opportunity page.
