The selected organization will position the EMK Center and American Spaces Bangladesh as a premier hub for accurate information regarding the United States, American cultural programming, and alumni engagement. The role involves increasing participation of emerging Bangladeshi leaders and expanding cultural and alumni-led activities, while also advancing U.S. economic and strategic interests.
The selected recipient will oversee the full operation of the EMK Center for a period of up to 12 months. The Center serves as a key platform for fostering people-to-people connections, promoting American culture and values, and supporting professional development among Bangladeshi youth and professionals. It also functions as a collaborative hub for various U.S. government sections, including commercial and economic teams, to advance trade and business engagement.
The selected organization will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the Center. Responsibilities include supervising staff, delivering EducationUSA services, maintaining technology and facilities, and implementing a dynamic program calendar that incorporates both in-person and virtual activities.

The anticipated funding range for this opportunity is between $450,000 and $550,000. The funding opportunity is announced under the Public Diplomacy Section of the U.S. Embassy in Dhaka.
Eligible applicants include not-for-profit organizations, think tanks, civil society organizations, private educational institutions, and public international organizations. Applicants must be registered and possess a Unique Entity Identifier. Only one proposal per organization is permitted; individuals or for-profit entities are not eligible.
The initiative is strictly focused on advancing public diplomacy and fostering bilateral ties through education, culture, and innovation. The program does not require cost sharing and will not support activities related to political campaigning, charitable services, construction, religious promotion, fundraising, lobbying, scientific research, or commercial ventures.
