Parren J. Mitchell Entrepreneurship Program

This program supports the development of innovative ventures through structured mentorship and resources.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Must be a current student enrolled at an accredited university.
  • Must propose a novel business concept addressing a recognized community need.
  • Team members must demonstrate commitment and collaborative potential.

Program Structure & Timeline

The program spans one academic year, divided into three phases:

  1. Phase 1: Ideation & Validation (Fall Semester): Intensive workshops focusing on market research and minimum viable product (MVP) definition.
  2. Phase 2: Development & Iteration (Spring Semester): Dedicated time for building the prototype, securing initial user feedback, and refining the business model.
  3. Phase 3: Pitch & Launch (End of Year): Finalizing the business plan and presenting to a panel of industry investors.

Successful completion can lead to seed funding opportunities and further incubation support.

  • A detailed executive summary (max 5 pages).

  • A preliminary market analysis document.
