The performance of representative body functions is supported through funding provided by the National Indigenous Australians Agency.

Overview

The funding supports the delivery of services related to the 'representative body' functions outlined in section 203B of the Native Title Act 1993 (the Act). These functions include assisting native title claimants and holders to progress native title claims, negotiating native title agreements, and resolving native title disputes. This opportunity continues the delivery of these essential services by funding selected entities to perform these functions.

Eligibility

To be eligible for funding under this opportunity, applicants must be invited by the Agency. The Agency will extend invitations to all native title representative bodies recognised by the Minister for Indigenous Australians under section 203AD of the Act, as well as all native title service providers funded by the Agency to perform all representative body functions.
