Overview

The Pfizer Independent Medical Education Grant Request for Proposals (RFP) for Current and Emerging Therapies: The Future of Recurrent or Metastatic (r/m) Cervical Cancer supports continuing education projects focused on the evolving treatment landscape and disease management for patients with recurrent or metastatic (r/m) cervical cancer. The geographic scope for this opportunity is the United States. Proposed activities should aim to increase clinicians’ knowledge, confidence, and competence in caring for patients, specifically in the community setting.

Funding and Award Details

Individual projects requesting up to $250,000 will be considered. The estimated total available budget related to this RFP is $250,000. The expected typical grant range is $50,000 to $250,000. Smaller, local, or single healthcare institution projects should be at the lower end of this range. The maximum project length is 1 year. Award amounts include direct costs, institutional overhead costs (capped at 28% per Pfizer policy), and indirect costs.

Eligibility Criteria

The following types of organizations may apply:

  • Medical, nursing, allied health, and/or pharmacy professional schools
  • Healthcare institutions (both large and small)
  • Professional organizations and medical societies
  • Medical education companies
  • Other entities with a mission related to healthcare professional education and/or healthcare improvement

Only organizations are eligible to receive grants, not individuals or medical practice groups. The requesting organization must be legally able to receive award funding directly from Pfizer Inc. For projects offering continuing education credit, the requesting organization must be accredited.

Research and Educational Focus Areas

Projects should address educational needs related to treatment paradigms for r/m cervical cancer, targeted therapies and future horizons (with a focus on Post-IO Progression and ADCs), management of adverse events, and long-term outcomes. Specific topics include:

  • Evidence-based considerations for second-line (2L) therapy in immuno-oncology (IO)-pretreated patients
  • The role of treatment options in post-IO progression
  • Emerging biomarkers such as TROP2, HER2, TF, and Nectin-4

Educational formats may include on-agenda sessions at live conferences, interactive case-based hubs and workshops, tumor boards, point-of-care digital toolkits, and regional or local workshop series. Enduring materials are required. The target audience includes community gynecologic oncologists, medical oncologists, pharmacists, NP/PAs, and nurses.

Application Process and Key Dates

The submission deadline is 01 SEP 2026 at 23:59 Eastern Standard Time (EST). Applications submitted after the due date will not be reviewed. The anticipated grant award notification date is 15 OCT 2026, with an anticipated project start date of NOV 2026 or later.

Project proposals should be single-spaced using Calibri 12-point font and 1-inch margins, with a 15-page limit exclusive of references. Applications will be accepted via the online portal. Detailed submission instructions for the new platform will be released at least two weeks prior to the application deadline.
