Research Opportunities in Cancer Epidemiology Cohort Studies (U01 Clinical Trial Not Allowed) supports grant applications to advance research in cancer epidemiology cohort studies addressing specific knowledge gaps in cancer etiology and survivorship.
The National Cancer Institute (NCI) encourages applications supporting hypothesis-based research within cancer epidemiology cohort studies. Support may cover cohort infrastructure and/or maintenance, continued follow-up, and the sharing of data and biospecimen resources as appropriate.
Eligible applicants include, but are not limited to: Native American tribal governments (Federally recognized), City or township governments, For profit organizations other than small businesses, Private institutions of higher education, Public housing authorities/Indian housing authorities, County governments, Native American tribal organizations (other than Federally recognized tribal governments), Special district governments, Small businesses, Public and State controlled institutions of higher education, Others (as detailed in the NOFO), Independent school districts, Nonprofits that do not have a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, Nonprofits having a 501(c)(3) status with the IRS, other than institutions of higher education, and State governments.
Non-domestic (non-U.S.) Entities (Foreign Organizations) are eligible to apply. Non-domestic (non-U.S.) components of U.S. Organizations are also eligible to apply. Foreign components, as defined in the NIH Grants Policy Statement, are not permitted.
