Eligibility Requirements

Scope of Work

Projects must address one or more of the following areas:

  1. Climate resilience and water-use efficiency in specialty crops.
  2. Novel post-harvest preservation techniques to reduce spoilage.
  3. Integrated pest management strategies utilizing biological controls.
  4. Development of value-added products from underutilized specialty crop byproducts.

All proposed work must include measurable Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to environmental impact or economic benefit.

Funding Details

  • Total Funding Available: $15,000,000
  • Award Range: $500,000 to $2,500,000 per project.
  • Duration: 3 to 5 years.

Submission Guidelines

Proposals must be submitted electronically via the Grants Portal. The submission package must include:

  1. A detailed technical proposal (max 25 pages).
  2. A comprehensive budget justification.
  3. Letters of commitment from all participating partners.
