Description

Sponsorship of the Australian Workshop on Public Finance (6th) supports a leading forum that convenes academics, researchers, and public sector officials to examine how quantitative public policy research and large administrative datasets can inform policy development and support evidence-based government decision-making.

Overview

The Workshop aims to increase awareness of data-driven policy development across the Australian Public Service (APS) and promote the effective use of data and analytical capabilities in government. Sponsorship of the Workshop supports the Australian Government’s commitment to strengthening data and digital capabilities across the public sector, including through implementation of the Data and Digital Government Strategy. The event will provide an opportunity for collaboration between government and academic experts, facilitating the exchange of expertise, research, and practical insights to improve the quality of policy advice and government decision-making.
