Overview

The programme provides funding over a four-year period, spanning from 2026-27 to 2029-30. This grant opportunity is part of the Department of Home Affairs Program 1.2 – National Security and Resilience, aiming to provide services that support inclusive, safe, and secure communities.

The objectives of this opportunity include:

  • Providing alternative pathways for young people who are at risk of being engaged in criminal and/or anti-social behaviour.
  • Promoting inclusion, building community resilience, and strengthening family support structures.
  • Enabling young people at-risk to break patterns of recidivism and cyclical engagement in criminal activity.
  • Assisting young people at-risk in developing life skills to prevent them from becoming entrenched in the criminal justice system and to promote inclusion and build community resilience.

Intended outcomes of the funding include:

  • Improved engagement of young people at-risk in education, work-ready programs, and the community generally.
  • Decreased anti-social behaviour or engagement in criminal activity.
