The Talos Fellowship is a program designed to empower ambitious graduates to launch European policy careers focused on artificial intelligence. The program emphasizes the safe and responsible deployment of AI and related technologies. Fellows can choose between two tracks: Training Track and Placement Track. The program also offers an optional International AI Governance Specialisation.

Scope of Work

The Talos Fellowship offers two distinct tracks:

  • Training Track: This track provides an 8-week EU AI Policy Fundamentals Program, a 7-day policymaking summit in Brussels, and personalized support and coaching for a career in tech policy.

  • Placement Track: This track includes the Training Track components and a 4-6 month placement at a respected think tank with a stipend.

Eligibility

Applicants should have a deep interest in AI and its societal impact. They must possess strong communication skills and be able to work under pressure. EU citizenship is preferred, but exceptional non-EU candidates with significant experience may be considered. The ideal candidate will have completed their undergraduate degree by the start of the training week, with a background in machine learning or public policy being advantageous.

Budget and Duration

The Talos Fellowship provides a stipend for the Placement Track, covering the costs associated with the 4-6 month placement at a think tank. The program duration includes an 8-week training program, a 7-day summit in Brussels, and a potential 4-6 month placement.
