The Tribal Tourism Grant Program (TTGP), administered by the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA) through the Office of Indian Economic Development (OIED), provides funding to support existing Tribal tourism operations. The program aims to increase visitors to Tribal destinations through facilitation, promotion, and enhanced visibility. Projects selected through this competitive process will benefit from technical assistance provided by the NATIVE Act Cooperative Agreement awardee and the OIED.
The Tribal Tourism Grant Program (TTGP) supports efforts to achieve substantial community benefits by strengthening Tribal tourism activities, enhancing visitor experiences, and increasing access to Tribal destinations. These efforts contribute to improved community well-being and support economic development. The program is not intended to create or establish new Tribal tourism operations.
Projects should address clearly defined tourism challenges and opportunities and align with the economic development goals and priorities of the Tribal community. The OIED administers this grant program through the Division of Economic Development (DED) under a non-recurring appropriation budget.
