Introduction

The Young Global Changers Recoupling Awards 2025, organized by the Global Solutions Initiative, aims to recognize and reward young changemakers worldwide who contribute to aligning economic prosperity with environmental sustainability and societal needs. The awards seek to acknowledge impactful youth-led projects and initiatives that drive change on the ground, serving as examples and inspiration. Projects can be social enterprises or youth-led non-profit initiatives.

Scope of Work

The awards are divided into three categories:

• Reimagine Business: Recognizing businesses and social enterprises that implement models fostering social prosperity and environmental goals.

• Reimagine Social and Climate Action: Recognizing projects supporting societies impacted by systemic inequities or climate degradation.

• Reimagine Civic Engagement: Recognizing projects empowering citizens to engage in the civic space, increasing transparency and accountability.

Eligibility

Eligibility for all Applicants

• Only individuals can apply, not organizations.

• Applicants must have a leading role in the project.

• Applicants must have strong English language skills.

• Applicants should preferably be between 18 and 35 years old.

• Applicants must demonstrate motivation to become active members of a global network for change.

Eligibility Criteria for all Projects

• Projects must aim at recoupling, aligning economic or political activities with social well-being and environmental sustainability.

• Projects must be beyond the idea stage and currently active.

Budget and Duration

The awards offer a full scholarship to all finalists, covering:

• Economy class airfare or train tickets to and from Berlin, including visa costs.

• A six-night stay in Berlin (May 2-7, 2025) for the duration of the program and the Summit (breakfast included).

• Free admission to the Global Solutions Summit 2025.

• Participation in training sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.

• Access to an exclusive global network of Young Global Changers.

Additional Information

The awards provide the opportunity to join the Young Global Changers Extended Circle, Young Global Changers Community, or present the project to a jury and global audience at the Global Solutions Summit in Berlin.

Application Process

• Prepare general information about the project and organization.

• Submit an executive summary (850 characters max) outlining the project's history, mission, values, and commitment to economic, social, and environmental goals.

• Submit an alignment summary (1500 characters max) specific to the chosen category.

• Provide a short bio (600 characters max) about yourself.

• Submit a brief video (5 minutes max) about the project.

Selection Process

The selection process involves reviewing applications and selecting finalists who will receive the full scholarship to attend the Global Solutions Summit in Berlin.
