The AI in Government and Academia Conference is a cross-sector event designed to foster collaboration between researchers, public servants, and technologists. The conference is inspired by the AI Opportunities Action Plan and is co-chaired by Tommaso Spinelli and Professor Keeley Crockett from Manchester Metropolitan University. It is hosted by GDS (DSIT) and MMU, highlighting the partnership between government and academia in advancing AI.

Selected authors will have the opportunity to present their work at the conference. Furthermore, accepted papers may be published in the AI Insights series on GOV.UK, providing wider dissemination of research findings.
