• Projects with a focus on advancing the research of the project lead (early- to mid-career researcher).

What will they fund?

• Staff costs for the project lead and co-leads

• Research and technical staff

• Travel and subsistence

• Activities that promote knowledge transfer and collaboration

Who is eligible to apply?

• Early- to mid-career materials researchers

• Researchers based at a UK research organization eligible for EPSRC funding.

Who is not eligible?

• Established academics with a substantial amount of research experience

• Researchers holding leadership positions on large EPSRC flagship grants

How much funding is available?

• Up to £312,500 per project

• EPSRC will fund 80% of the project's full economic cost (FEC)
