The TransFund (ITF) is excited to announce the opening of its 9th grant cycle.

The ITF is accepting applications exclusively through its online grants portal, streamlining the application process and ensuring efficient and secure management of submissions.

Trans-led groups interested in applying for a grant are invited to create a profile on the ITF's grants portal to access the application.

The ITF accepts written and video applications in English, French, Russian, Simplified Chinese, and Spanish.

Scope of Work

The ITF offers two grant types: SEED Grants and THRIVE Grants.

SEED Grants are one-year grants for organizations not previously funded by the ITF, providing general support and/or project funding.

Grant amounts range from $10,000 to $25,000 USD per year.

THRIVE Grants are also one-year grants, exclusively for trans-led organizations previously funded by the ITF in good standing, providing general support.

Grant amounts range from $25,000 to $50,000 USD per year.

Eligibility

The ITF invites applications from trans-led organizations worldwide with annual budgets below $100,000 USD.

Applicants must have a demonstrated commitment to trans rights and social justice.

The ITF prioritizes applications from organizations working in areas such as:

• Advocacy and policy change

• Capacity building and leadership development

• Direct services and community support

• Research and documentation

Budget and Duration

The ITF offers two grant types:

• SEED Grant (1-year): $10,000 to $25,000 USD/year

• THRIVE Grant (1-year): $25,000 to $50,000 USD/year

Additional Information

Applicants can only apply for one grant type at a time.

Once an application is started, it cannot be switched to another grant type.

The ITF strongly encourages applicants to read the Application Guidelines before starting the application process.

Key Dates

The deadline to apply for either a SEED or THRIVE grant is December 2, 2024, at 5 pm (ET/New York time).
