The Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation Environmental Photography Award was launched in 2021 to celebrate the Foundation's 15th anniversary.
This annual award recognizes photographers who use their creativity to raise awareness about Earth protection.
The award aims to celebrate the beauty of our planet and highlight environmental challenges through five categories: Polar Wonders, Into the Forest, Ocean Worlds, Humanity versus Nature, and Change Makers: Reasons for Hope.
The award encourages photographers to capture images that highlight the beauty and fragility of our planet.
The photographs are judged based on their technical and aesthetic excellence, as well as the relevance and strength of their message.
The award is open to photographers of all nationalities who are 18 years or older on November 3, 2024.
Employees or agents of the Prince Albert II of Monaco Foundation, Photocrowd, their families, or other persons connected with the promotion are not eligible to enter. Individuals benefiting from the Foundation's support, directly or indirectly, are also ineligible.
A €1,000 grant is awarded to each of the five category winners.
The €5,000 grant for the Environmental Photographer of the Year is awarded to one of the five category winners in addition to the category grant.
The Public Award and the Student's Vote each award a €500 grant to the winner.
Entrants are required to create a Photocrowd account to submit their entries and provide their contact details.
Participation in the wider Photocrowd community is not a requirement for entry.
The deadline for applications is November 3, 2024.
