Introduction

The AIAS-AUFF Junior & Senior Fellowships 2024-2025 are open for applications. These fellowships are designed for talented researchers from around the world across all research disciplines.

The Junior Fellowships are for 23 months, while the Senior Fellowships are for 11 months, starting on September 1, 2025. The Aarhus Institute of Advanced Studies (AIAS) provides a stimulating environment for researchers to develop their work in an interdisciplinary, international, and collaborative setting.

Scope of Work

The AIAS-AUFF Fellowships offer a unique opportunity for researchers to engage in curiosity-driven research within their chosen disciplines. Fellows benefit from tailored activities designed to cultivate essential competencies for successful academic development.

Eligibility

The fellowships are open to researchers from all research disciplines and nationalities. However, applicants must meet the following criteria:

• They must not have resided or worked in Denmark for more than 12 months in the two years preceding the application deadline.

• Junior Fellowship applicants must have 2-10 years of experience after completing their PhD.

• Senior Fellowship applicants must have 11+ years of experience after completing their PhD.

Budget and Duration

The fellowships provide a salary based on seniority, with employment conditions and wages regulated by Danish collective union agreements. Relocation travel costs and assistance are also covered. The Junior Fellowships last for 23 months, while the Senior Fellowships last for 11 months.

Additional Information

Fellows will have access to office space at AIAS and can participate in academic training activities, conferences, and workshops. They will also be affiliated with relevant research environments at Aarhus University.
