The India-Taiwan Programme of Cooperation in Science & Technology (IT-POCST) is pleased to announce its annual grant competition for collaborative research projects between Indian and Taiwanese researchers. This program fosters international scientific collaboration and supports cutting-edge research in critical technological fields.

Priority Research Areas

Indo_ Taiwan call welcomes proposals in the following high-impact areas:

  • Information and Communication Technology (ICT): Artificial intelligence, Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data, and Cybersecurity

  • Biotechnology and Healthcare: Functional genomics, drug development, biomedical devices, agriculture, and food sciences

  • Sustainable Energy Solutions: Green energy technologies, renewable energy (solar and bioenergy), and clean energy development

  • Advanced Manufacturing: Semiconductors, communication technologies, aerospace, and manufacturing advancements

Grant Support for Collaborative Research

IT-POCST provides financial support to selected joint research projects. The program primarily covers:

  • Mobility Grants: Funding for travel expenses to facilitate exchange visits between Indian and Taiwanese researchers.

  • Research Support: Additional funding to support essential research equipment, research assistantships, and project consumables.

Eligibility and Application Process

The program is open to scientists, engineers, and researchers affiliated with publically funded research institutions and universities in India and Taiwan. Private companies are encouraged to participate; however, they must secure their own research funding.

To be considered for funding, researchers from both countries must develop a joint research proposal outlining the collaborative project. Proposals must be submitted online through the designated portal by July 31, 2024.
