Open to serving or retired historians/scientists interested in research on the history of Indian science and technology
Retired PIs may receive honorarium and contingency funds
Serving PIs may receive funding for a Research Assistant/Fellow/Associate and contingency
Full-time projects may be approved for independent young researchers as Research Associates
PIs should preferably have a Master's degree (at least 2nd class) or PhD
Research Associates must have a PhD and aptitude for full-time research
Research Fellows should have cleared CSIR/UGC NET
Research Assistants must have a postgraduate degree
In-service PIs typically receive contingency funds only
Remuneration for retired scientists, Research Associates and Fellows as per INSA norms
The contingency amount is determined based on project merit
