Introduction

The International News Media Association (INMA) Elevate Scholarship 2024 is designed to empower historically under-represented and disadvantaged groups in the news media industry.

The scholarship aims to equip individuals with strong business fundamentals, propelling their careers and infusing the industry with diverse talent. The program emphasizes the importance of inclusivity and diverse perspectives in the news media landscape.

Scope of Work

The Elevate Scholarship program focuses on strengthening the business side of news media, including areas like subscriptions, data, product development, advertising, and newsroom operations.

The scholarship provides access to INMA's resources and expertise to enhance participants' knowledge and skills in these areas.

Eligibility

To be eligible for the INMA Elevate Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be part of an under-represented and disadvantaged group within their country.

  • Be actively involved in, or aspire to be a part of, the business side of news media.

  • Be employed by a news media company.

  • Hold a position below senior management at their organization.

  • Have less than 15 years of experience in the news media business.

  • Be under 45 years of age.

  • Aspire to become a top manager at a news media company.

Budget and Duration

The scholarship provides free access to three INMA Master Classes and a one-year free membership to INMA, granting access to the association's global community. The duration of the scholarship is one year.

Key Dates
